POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily processing of accounting transactions for North American Banking Company and its respondent banks; ensuring all functions are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS/GOALS: 1. Process check return files for Nabco, high volume customers, and respondent banks to ensure accurate item resolution within bank procedures. 2. Process AM and PM Inclearings and build posting blocks for Nabco and respondent banks. 3. Balances expense checks, cashier s checks, money orders, and disbursement checks 4. Balance Teller Cash 5. Balance over the counter deposits to ensure all deposits were properly credited to customer accounts. 6. Review special accounts to ensure all checks contain two signatures 7. Review large dollar checks for signature and endorsement 8. Create outgoing large item return notifications 9. Process incoming large item return notifications 10. Balance Mobile and Remote Deposits 11. Add descriptions to general ledger transactions 12. Review positive pay exceptions to ensure all unauthorized entries are returned unpaid 13. Create return image cash letter for Nabco and its respondent banks 14. Print, process and mail customer statements and notices for Nabco and its respondent banks 15. Record returns, charge-backs and proof items on the DP Billing worksheet. 16. Process Canadian items 17. Scans checks for redeposit and money order repost items. 18. Post funds settlement and wire entries as directed 19. Provides back-up support for operational duties as assigned 20. Assists with other duties and projects as directed When working hybrid, the off-site work environment requires access to an internet connection and a dedicated, private, professional space to hold video conference meetings and perform work tasks. A manager may at any time change the parameters of their employee s hybrid working location, dates and/or times. Additional things to keep in mind: Dress Code. Adherence to bank dress code is required for all client meetings whether in person or via video conferencing. End-user computer polices. It is important for employees to remember that all mobile device and end-user computer policies, procedures, and protocols that exist in the office are still in force when working remotely. Confidentiality. Due to the confidential nature of banking, printing client related documents remotely is strictly prohibited. It is also important to hold all meetings in a private space. Frequent and consistent check-ins. Communication between manager and employee is critical for both parties to discuss workload, issues, successes etc. Err on the side of over-communicating. Face-to-face or voice-to-voice. Don t rely on email for communication. A phone call or Zoom meeting is needed on a regular basis. The timing of check-ins can vary from daily to bi-weekly to weekly but should always be consistent. Remote worker availability. Employees working remotely will need to be available for in-person, Zoom, or conference call meetings during regular business hours. Responsiveness. Responding to customer and employee requests is more important than ever in a remote work environment. Calls and emails must be returned in a timely manner.
