The new Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is a modern, state-of-the art terminal which opened to commercial passenger traffic on Jan 12, 2023. The Terminal has a design capacity of approx. 14 million annual passengers and 33 common-use gates, providing generous space for a smooth journey through the building, from curbside to for check-in, security, gate holdrooms and baggage claim. Terminal A is the state's largest design-build project, expected to generate more than $4.6 billion in regional economic activity, create more than 23,000 job years and provide more than $1.9 billion in wages FP&A Manager Newark, NJ Full Time Finance and Accounting Manager/Supervisor Share ( Position Overview:The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in the financial planning and analysis process of the company. They are responsible for providing insights, analysis, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making processes across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning:Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets. Forecasting:Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term and long-term forecasting. Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results to identify trends and potential risks or opportunities. Performance Analysis:Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide insights to senior management to drive strategic decision-making. Business Partnering:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and provide financial support for decision-making. Act as a trusted advisor to department heads and senior leadership. Modeling/Reporting:Create new, prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and key stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and relevance of financial information. Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the FP&A function. Implement best practices to enhance financial planning and analysis capabilities. Ad-Hoc Analysis:Conduct ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling to support special projects and initiatives as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Proven ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functional areas. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI are a must. Experience with ERP systems is a must, preferably SAP. Additional Requirements: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
