You will be a great member of our team if you are:Creative and able to adjust accordinglyWell organized and detail orientedPatient, compassionate, and caringAble to collaborate and communicate effectively with a team Mission motivated and results drivenDependable and flexible Open-minded to accepting feedback and making changes ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere for clients that allows them to grow to their best selvesWork directly under the supervision of the Associate Director of Day Program ServicesMaintain the program to a high standard; including cleaning, organization, meal preparation, and promptly reporting any issues to managementTreat all clients, stakeholders, and fellow team members with dignity and respectAttend all departmental staff meetings, company events, and organization-provided training sessions as directedCooperate with staff from LOU and DDD and/or personnel from the Department of Human Services in any inspection and or investigation which may be conductedAssist in all areas where clients may require support, including but not limited to:Provide assistance in personal hygiene careWrite clear and concise progress notes Ensure ongoing implementation of ISP OutcomesProper administration of medication in accordance with training and proceduresActive participation and guidance during recreational activitiesFollow through on all established behavior plansImplement activities that encourage personal growth and new skill development Advocate for clients' self-expression and communicationProvide safe and efficient transportation to clients to and from activitiesThis role must complete all responsibilities and duties required and deemed applicable by the Associate Director of Day Program Services as it pertains to the Day Program and building a better future for our clients. RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentCertified Home Health Aide (CHHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Patient Care Tech (PCT), Direct Support Professional(DSP) - preferred, not requiredExperience working with individuals with developmental disabilitiesMust be 18 years or older Must be able to lift, push, and pull as necessaryProven professional written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills and problem-solving skillsPossess a valid New Jersey Driver's LicenseMust be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated trainings within the first 120 days of employmentThe requirements for checks of criminal background, the central registry, the child abuse registry, and drug testing must be completed prior to working with any clients in the Day Program or Residential ProgramBenefits:Benefits Package (Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance)Life InsuranceCompetitive Salary401(k)Paid Training & Renewing of CertificationsPTO, Vacation, & Holiday payCareer Advancement Opportunities
