Job Description The relationship management team is responsible for increasing market share and accelerating revenue growth of client relationships (large public and private firms with annual revenues greater than $500 million, with an emphasis on companies included on the Fortune 1000 and Forbes Private 400 across a variety of industry verticals) lists by analyzing, and interpreting information to support business development activities, identify products and services to enable strategic opportunities, as well as evaluate action to minimize risk. What you'll do Our 10-week paid internship will provide you with the foundational knowledge in the identification and execution of banking products and services, to both solve financial problems for our clients and help them grow. You will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of on-the-job training, mentorship, a community of peers and advisors, and a pathway to our full-time Relationship Management Development Program upon graduation. As a Relationship Management intern you'll: Get hands-on experience working on projects that impact the business such as: Coordinating efforts for the Relationship Managers (RM) heading up a business development effort, providing support where needed including industry research, marketing material production, coordination with product areas, as well as other activities as identified by the RM(s) Maintaining internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, Salesforce reports, etc. Assisting in preparing written material including pitch books, briefing memos, client materials and associated analyses Developing expertise in the industries assigned and conduct in depth company research Communicating and interacting with both core and extended client team members from various product groups to build comprehensive client presentations and ensure seamless client delivery Assisting with new client identification, prospecting, company research Learning to read, understand, and analyze a 10K/10Q (including the Notes to Financials) along with other SEC Reporting Develop technical and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops Who we're looking for We're looking for motivated self-starters, seeking to make an impact in a team environment. Basic qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a target graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026 Fundamental understanding of Financial/Accounting terms, concepts, and applications Ability to start internship program on June 9, 2025 Preferred qualifications: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above Previous banking, credit, finance/financial analysis, or sales experience Strong problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills Relationship building skills Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and due dates in a deadline driven environment Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Salesforce Working model and hours: This role is hybrid. Interns who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. Interns work approximately 40-hours each week during the internship.
