Under the supervision of the Facilities/Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance of county buildings, grounds, and equipment; routine building inspections; maintaining inventory of tools, chemicals, equipment, custodial supplies; and performing other related maintenance/custodial duties as required; position is on-call for extra assignments and overtime.The focus of this position is maintenance/facilities/grounds related. QUALIFICATIONS Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); basic experience in buildings and grounds maintenance, construction field, basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair, or other related maintenance field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy. EQUIPMENT OPERATED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive: Facilities tools and equipment: commonly used Custodian equipment; vacuum cleaner, floor machine, and other standard custodial equipment, motor vehicle.
