Restaurant - Line Cook

The 'right fit' for us: Committed to doing it 'right' - quality goods and quality tools to produce great food Committed to learning and sharing knowledge with others A strong work ethic and a great sense of humor A self-starter with strong organizational skills Culinary school/ training preferred but solid career experience is definitely a plus Responsibilities include but not limited to: Broil, grille and/or sauté Handle knives Operate kitchen equipment Follow recipe and presentation guidelines to meet or exceed guests' expectations Label food and ensure proper rotation Meet special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality standards Prepare high quality food items to order for our guests Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and Hotel requirements. Skills, Abilities and Experience needed to be successful A good knowledge and understanding of knife skills, sanitation and cooking methods and be able to apply them in food production. Qualified candidates must have previous culinary or cooking experience in a restaurant or hotel. Professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures preferred. Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Food safety training certification highly desired. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the you will be regularly required to stand; walk; use hands,reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
