Senior Industrial Engineer - Factory Design & Simulation Role Summary: Seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Industrial Engineer to spearhead the design and simulation of efficient, innovative factory layouts for Seurat. This role demands an individual with a robust foundation in industrial engineering principles, expert proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, and a demonstrated history of solving complex problems through innovative design optimization. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, capable of using data and analytics to develop and implement layout designs that optimize production processes, enhance workflow, and ensure safety compliance, while also considering cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Focus on lean systems and methods for manufacturing - value added operations, minimize waste, short production systems, small lot material strategies, focus on te operator & safety. Design and optimize factory layouts using AutoCAD, focusing on production lines and supporting functions to improve safety, density, and flow. Develop factory simulation/modeling plans to develop efficient flow paths and optimize space utilization through data-driven analysis. Work with process engineers to determine standard times for operations with MOST methodology, MTM, or MODAPTS. Support all necessary PFMEA's and required control plans based on known DFMEA and Process definitions. Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure layout designs align with Seurat's strategic goals, facilitating seamless integration between production, material flow, and construction. Manage layout design projects from conception through completion, including timeline setting, progress monitoring, and stakeholder communication. Employ 3D modeling software for space visualization and allocation and utilize analytics to drive layout improvements and innovation Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience emphasizing factory or production line layout design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and experience with 3D modeling and simulation software such as Autodesk or Siemens Tecnomatix. Strong analytical skills with experience in process optimization, and the ability to develop systems-level solutions for complex problems. Experience with manufacturing equipment and production processes, including machining, assembly, and automation. Extensive knowledge on Industrial engineering principles and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Excellent conflict management, communication, and organizational skills, able to manage tight deadlines and competing demands in a high-pressure environment. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in factory design and process optimization.
