Perform vehicle repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and will perform optimally. Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical problems. Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately (including hours and usage of parts). Evaluate completed work, and if necessary, consult with supervisor to ensure machine/truck is functioning properly and meets safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name) Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor in an effective and timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS Important technical skills/functional abilities include: Valid driver's license. CDL preferred. Tanker/hazmat certification a plus DOT med card required Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred. High School Diploma or GED. Attention to detail. Proficient computer skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Must be able to lift or move 40 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling. Must have appropriate mechanic's toolset. One to two years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education and experience Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, DPF and DEF systems as well as AC Electrical and electronics Good people skills and a positive attitude Isuzu, Peterbilt, Ford, International, Paccar and Cummins experience is a plus.
