The Sectional Warping Operator will operate machine to wind yarn onto drum and warp beam, load yarn onto Creel, draw ends through Lease Reed and Flat Reed, watch machine to detect any defect in the beam, repair and broken yarn ends, generate ticket to identify warp, run all yarns (regardless of difficulty), train other Operators on job requirements, run directional warper for section beams. Role and Responsibilities: At the start and end of shift and creel check yarn size matches Standard Operation Specification At the start and end of shift and creel check yarn type and blend matches Specification At the start and end of shift and creel check number of packages in creel matches specification At the start and end of shift and creel check that yarn is threaded through the tension devices correctly At the start and end of shift and creel blow off lease reed, flat reed, and machine using air hose At the start and end of shift and creel check all ceramic eyelets and guides are present At the start of creel calculate number of beams and length of beams from creel load. Communicate with next shift Can perform all Sectional Warp Assistant Roles and Responsibilities Can add 1st and 2nd lease strings Can calculate package count, section width, and flat reed draw-in pattern Can draw-in Lease reed Can run Waxing Device Can use measuring tape - metric Can use allen wrench Able to run all sectional warping machines and all grades/sizes/types of yarn to expected efficiency Can assess equipment on daily basis and manage. Notify Supervisor regarding issues. Able to provide training and guidance to other operators as directed Can make necessary changes in Sectional Warper Computer interface without assistance on selected machines Need to know how to use pallet jack and warp truck Follow all plant safety rules. Make sure all mechanical cabinet doors are closed during operation. Avoid unsafe situations, identify and report unsafe conditions, look out for self/others to avoid injury Keep work area clean and orderly. NO cups, drinks, junk of any kind sitting on Sectional Warper or Beamer. Wear company provided uniforms Accurately clock in/out Ensure 1st quality product, check selvages Perform miscellaneous duties deemed necessary to run the business.
