Job Summary: This position is responsible for various types ofweld preparation, welding andweldingfinishing operations. Role and Responsibilities: Set up and operate welding equipment as well as various power/hand tools. Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by wrapping, distortion, expansion orshrinkage Performs daily preventativemaintenanceon welding tools and equipment asrequired Responsible for the overall quality of the welding work including distortion and dimensional control and taking correctiveactions Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, andregulations Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish jobresults Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of welding tasks asneeded Inspect all work andensureit meets requirements prior to passing it on to the nextoperation Document actions by completing production and qualityforms Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 1-3+years' experience in MIG/TIG welding Ability to readblueprintsand follow specific written instructions andprocedures Basic understanding ofmathematics asitrelatesto weldingassignments Maintains a strong sense of urgency, initiative and ability to understand andsolverproductionsproblems Strong work ethic with the ability to workindependentlyas well as on a team Must be able tolift upto 50 pound and stand for extended periods oftime Education: High school diploma orequivalent Welding certificatepreferred Powered by JazzHR
