Position: Director, Institute for Culinary Artisans & Adventure Hospitality Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Year-round Department: Culinary & Hospitality Institute Salary: $105,000.00-$120,000.00 IMMEDIATE LEADERSHIP POSITION OPENING The director will lead a team of faculty and staff members focused on the development and execution of various degree and non-degree programs, certificates, certifications, in-person and on-line programming, workshops, symposia, and development projects linked to the hospitality industry. Candidates for the position of Director of the Institute for Culinary Artisans and Adventure Hospitality must meet the following requirements: A degree in a field related to culinary arts or hospitality management. A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in full-service hotel, restaurant, or resort properties at the level of sous chef or higher or assistant general manager or higher. A proven track record of team building and training initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Foundational knowledge of technology related to administration and hospitality operations. Strong networking skills. Professional in appearance and action. Full understanding of sensitivities to managing a team of professionals with a proven track record of inclusion. A track record of positive financial management including budgeting, purchasing, prioritizing, and cost control measures. An understanding of and commitment to sustainable practices. PREFERRENCES: A person with entrepreneurial experience would be preferred. A master's degree in a related field would be preferred. A person certified through either the American Culinary Federation or American Hotel/Lodging Association would be preferred. Prior teaching experience would be preferred. Prior experience in Higher Education Administration would be preferred.
