Requisition Summary The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in managing and developing a group of material planners while working closely with suppliers and local manufacturing support service providers to ensure optimal material flow to the Chillicothe plant. This candidate will be responsible to oversee order placement and releases to ensure supply is readily available and on time for the truck assembly team while working expedite plans to mitigate shortages online. This candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain close business relationships with the supply base; Negotiate Delivery Issues. Close Monitoring and follow up of daily KPI's, high attention to detail, and development and execution of daily standard work and processes are critical to the department's success. Job Functions / Responsibilities Manage and measure planner group standards, metrics and initiatives to align with overall department objectives Develop, train and improve planner skill sets and standard work Drive planner ownership of product portfolio and all material flow aspects from SupplieraDockaStockaProduction Line Work closely with quality, purchasing, EDI team and management to drive resolutions of discrepancies to closure. Conduct Inventory accuracy/shortage reduction workshops/training and adopt best practice solutions as a result. Provide Plant management with timely information regarding inventory/sourcing metrics. Drive Supplier corrective action plans that impact material flow & inventory accuracy Perform other projects and assignments as may be required. Qualifications Four-year degree in business, supply chain management, project management or related field required Experience working with MRP manufacturing systems and statistical inventory management environments. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Minitab software is a plus. Dashboard Systems Experience desired (i.e. Power Bi, Tableau) but willing to train. Applicant should have a basic understanding of Six Sigma practices; Green belt/Lean belt certification preferred. Applicants must be able to prioritize, successfully handle pressure, and work/make decisions independently when required.
