The company's brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle's and Sidul.OVERVIEWThe Sanitation Manager directs and coordinates the execution of activities related to the cleaning and sanitizing of the facility and on-site equipment at the Refinery. Conducts all aspects of job duties in a safe and responsible manner. Partners with other department Managers to establish a defined cleaning frequency, training, work instructions, and through verification activities ensures the effectiveness of the facility sanitation program. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates and executes the cleaning of equipment and work areas.Manages both cleaning contractors and cleaning employees at the facilityInspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions. Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.Manages sanitation preventive maintenance programReviews and oversees the Plant Sanitation Program, including working with Cleaning and Sanitation Chemical supplier(s) to determine best cleaning and sanitizing agents and methods for maintaining Company and Regulatory cleaning and sanitizing pletes associated documentation in a complete, accurate and timely manner.Conducts investigations and root cause analysis on any customer complaints and quality issues pertaining to potential sanitation issues.Confers with management, Quality Assurance, Safety and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.Ensures GMP's are always metOther job duties as assigned.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Able to be trusted with high sensitive and confidential information.Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesProficient on Microsoft Office applications and software programs used in the workplaceAbility to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.Two to four years related experience or equivalent in manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)Five or more years of proven accomplishments in the supervision of employees, including training, coaching, and team buildingREQUIRED EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college/university is required or equivalent experienceMANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITYResponsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problemsCoordinates Company Cleaning Schedule activitiesFull participation during food safety auditsEnsures activities complies with all claims and site food safety programs such as Gluten Free and Kosher claims as well as Organic and Allergen programs.Ensure Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential itiate disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract.Review hourly employees' performance and identify training needsReview and improve employee utilizationGood judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsDemonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinatesExcellent written and oral communication skillsIdentifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Displays willingness to make decisions and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and reacts well under pressure.Follows policies and procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.Observes safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and completes work in a timely manner.LOCATION OF ROLEYonker, NY RefineryThe pay range for this position is below.
