Communications Center Supervisor Canandaigua, NY ( Apply Description Job Summary: The primary function of the Communications Center Supervisor is to provide leadership and direction of the department's operation. The supervisor will lead culture, identify initiatives and opportunities for increased efficiency and quality of the Communication team. Summary of Essential Job Functions: Ability to perform Communications Specialist duties and responsibilities when necessary. Work with the training and education coordinator, develop, facilitate and monitor initial and continuing education to department staff. Provide leadership and direction; foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among communications staff members. Oversight of all communications related logistical operations. Coordinates, Develops and oversees all aspects of Communications Center Technology. Demonstrate functional knowledge of FCC and FAA terminology specific to departmental responsibilities Familiar with NYS Article 30 and Part 800 and its application to the air medical industry. Demonstrate functional knowledge of and supports MFC's HIPAA compliance. Continuous promotion towards stellar customer service. Develop, implement, revise, and monitor departmental policies and procedures, quality management programs, maintains current knowledge of company safety programs, and training programs (initial and recurrent) Participate in Communications Center applicant evaluation/hiring process. Oversight of Communications Center schedule. Maintains records related to QM audits, participates in the development and monitoring of remediation plans related to marginal performance, and prepares status reporting as directed. In conjunction with Program director helps to set goals, prioritizes tasks, works Problems and supports all aspects of MFC. Shows innovation in the communications Center and the MFC as a whole, whole embracing and supporting change. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience Previous EMS or dispatching experience preferred National Incident Management System (NIMS) ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700 CFC (IAMTCS) within one year of employment ACS (IAMTCS) within two years of employment. Recognize and understand CQI/Just Culture process and relevance to communications role. Functional knowledge of communications center-based technology. Be able to use MFC technology to review and provide company data. Possess and foster a positive customer service attitude. Demonstrate experience managing diverse employees. Excellent ability to communicate and work across MFC departments. Possess excellent communication and time management skills Previous teaching experience preferred Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Professional software Must possess basic computer competency and keyboarding skills Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
