Working directly with leadership, PSS helps stabilize financial and operational performance by developing and implementing comprehensive efficiency, operational, and organizational improvements.Our Public Sector professionals: Improve public services, expanding and improving the constituent experienceManage crises, stabilizing and transforming government agenciesSupport financial management and innovation, enabling agencies to make critical investmentsIdentify and implement operational improvements, modernizing and streamlining operationsGuide transformation and innovation initiatives to unlock opportunities for improved constituent services at lower costQualificationsA& M PSS is seeking full-time applicants for a Summer 2025 Summer Associate Program (Graduate Intern) based in Washington, DC and Seattle, WA.Required: Currently working toward graduate degree with the intention to graduate Winter 2025 or Spring 2026; Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Policy preferred3 years of total work experience; prior full-time or internship work experience in financial management, government operations, and/or consulting not required, but considered a plusDemonstrates academic excellenceDemonstrated proficiency with most or all of the following: Possess excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExtract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete dataCommunicate effectively in written and verbal formUse Excel and other MS Office programs as the primary tool to perform analysis and present conclusionsAble to contextualize tasks within a baseline understanding of macro issues concerning K-12 education, higher education, workforce development, state & local governance, and/or health services.Able to demonstrate thoughtfulness, objectivity, professionalism, and empathy in all aspects of workAble to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks concurrentlyWilling to travel up to 80%The hourly range is $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.A& M PSS does not hire individuals who require sponsorship (H1-B, J-1, O-1, etc.) now or in the future.
