Join our team as a Social Media & Community Specialist and help us shape the voice of our brand while connecting with audiences around the world POSITION SUMMARY The Kripalu marketing team is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media and Community Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, collaborating with Kripalu staff, faculty, and outside presenters, managing online communities, and driving and measuring engagement across various platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong writing and communication skills to build and maintain a positive brand image for Kripalu. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, collaborative self-starter and problem solver and is excited about the opportunity to manage a social community of over 300,000 followers and join Kripalu at this pivotal time for the organization. This role is hybrid with a strong preference to those candidates that can be onsite 2-3 days a week at our Stockbridge location. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to align with Kripalu's mission and goals. - Create, curate, and manage content including images, videos, reels and more - across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X. - Develop and hone a strong understanding of Kripalu's mission and brand voice to represent authentically across our social media platforms. - Collaborate with marketing, programming, guest services, Kripalu faculty and outside presenters to create engaging and on-brand content. - Plan and execute monthly social media calendar that includes daily posts, campaigns, and special projects. - Build and nurture Kripalu's online communities by engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner. - Proactively monitor and address negative comments, feedback, or crises on social media platforms by responding professionally and promptly, escalating issues when necessary, and implementing strategies to maintain Kripalu's reputation and trust with our audience. - Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance and provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimize strategies and content. - Continuously explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance social media and community management efforts. Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in social media management, community management, or a related role. - Proven track record of managing and growing online communities. - Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. - Experience with content creation, including video/reels. Additionally, proficiency in mobile app editing software, plus the editing of live audio or video/reels. - Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills. - Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms - Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for social media and digital marketing. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
