Contract Specialist III - CONTR011289 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Title: Contract Specialist - Legal (P2 or P3) Job level will be determined commensurate with experience. Role The Contract Specialist -- Legal serves as an expert in reviewing, interpreting, abstracting, and validating commercial deal points of new and existing contracts, to ensure Crown Castle legal standards are met. Responsibilities Ensures that all commercial contracts submitted to the legal department for review are processed within target timeframe. Reviews and compares approved contracts against customer-signed documents; ensuring accurate and consistent data exists. Abstracts contracts into company databases utilizing established procedures. Partners with internal stakeholders to enhance abstraction quality and relevance. Assists with execution of finalized contract documents. Manages complex contract issues. Supervises and/or assists with the resolution of contractual issues, including interpreting contract language and providing recommendations to internal business partners. Assists the Legal Department in special contract management and review projects. Works closely with cross-functional partners to identify areas for process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of documents, abstractions, tools, and reports. Interfaces with various teams including Contract Development, Contract Management, Sales, Billing, Operations, Client Services, and Business Information Systems to support the abstraction and management of contract terms and associated relationships to governing documents and processes. Meets production and quality assurance goals. Develops and maintains successful business relationships with internal/external customers. Responds in a timely and professional manner to inquiries. Provides excellent customer service throughout all activities. Demonstrates the flexibility needed to adjust to changes in the work environment as well as being a contributing team member. Education/Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or related field preferred Paralegal certification or bar licensure preferred Experience/Minimum Requirements Four (4) or more years of experience in contract management (legal expertise in telecommunications is preferred) Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of contractual language and nature of compliance obligations Expectations Time management: ability to manage many simultaneous tasks and demands and prioritize tasks appropriately Ability to work independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Contract Law and Interpretation Excellent customer service and communication skills Project/Time Management skills Resourceful, creative and results oriented thinker Proficient computer skills with Microsoft CRM / J.D. Edwards/other systems Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc.) Organizational Relationship Reports to: Senior Attorney or Managing Counsel Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): N/A Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
