About You We're seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Senior Production Manager Adhesives. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will convert raw materials and WIP into the highest quality adhesives by ensuring established procedures and batch formulations are followed under strict safety and ISO9001 quality management operations, and by developing production personnel into productive, efficient, quality-focused high-performing teams. In addition, you will: Drive methodology improvements in operational delivery and production costs by ensuring products are produced safety first, in high quality, under sound engineering and EHS standards at optimal cost while identifying and implementing new processes, tools, fixtures, and workstations Develop vibrant, responsive, innovative, high-performing production teams by exercising strong leadership and judgment skills to acquire, develop, train, coach, cultivate, and performance manage talented Chemical Operations and Process&Filling. Coordinate daily operations requirements and drive production efficiencies by ensuring the implementation of detailed, documented on-job training of operators in Work Orders, Batch Sheets, and Work Instructions, and updating as necessary Effectively execute the daily production plan schedule by establishing and adhering to lines shipped on time commitments, and by optimizing the usage of equipment, people, maintenance services, and resources. Improve capabilities of Dymax production and quality assurance by working with Quality and Engineering in root cause analyses of cycle time, yield, and process variation to reduce waste and develop new processes, procedures, and equipment specifications Establish and manage extraordinary standards of customer service and reputation by leading a responsive, articulate production team that interfaces with external stakeholders comfortably, and by assuming the lead role for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback Maintain an enthusiasm for continuous improvement efficiencies by engaging employees in Kaizen and Six-Sigma principles that isolate, recognize and develop processes, and lead to higher quality of products and better commercial outcomes Effectively manage the company Enterprise Resource Planning tool, JDE-E1 by ensuring the training all operators in entries that impact and record movements and changes in inventory, processes, manufacturing, purchasing, and client management Maintain a safe, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive productive workplace by ensuring the facility is clean and organized consistent with EHS and 5S standards, and by using maintenance services to stay compliant with local, state, and federal safety requirements Requirements You should have: BS in Chemical Engineering or equivalent background in chemistry; MBA preferred Thorough knowledge and experience working with ERPs; JD Edwards Enterprise - 1 preferred 5+ years of managing and leading teams in a manufacturing environment 8+ years of experience in a chemical production management role Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and financial acumen Demonstrated knowledge and practice in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Six Sigma Benefits Our company offers its employees: Attractive salaries Personal growth opportunities Excellent benefits packages that include: Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401K) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Generous Paid Time Off and Public Holidays Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Free uniforms and footwear Training & Development Tuition Reimbursement Wellness Resources Salary Range: $102,000- $153,000 Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of our company's total compensation packages for employees.
