Your future starts here - join us today Varies between campuses Part-time Adjunct Faculty Hybrid Option: No Waubonsee Community College is seeking applications for a part-time instructor for Developmental Math courses. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for providing instruction and assessing student learning through both formative and summative methods. This position requires a professional with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively utilize instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Reporting to the Dean, Adjunct Faculty prepare course syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to address diverse learning styles and ensure students meet course objectives and outcomes. They incorporate learner-centered principles and concepts, motivating students to actively engage in all aspects of the educational experience. Adjunct Faculty are also responsible for student evaluations and for timely and accurate reporting, such as attendance verifications, academic progress, and final course grades. Successful Adjunct Faculty employ a holistic approach to student success, bringing passion and enthusiasm to the classroom. They collaborate effectively with students and colleagues and work constructively with individuals from diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities. They demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. MTH 050 Basic Mathematic Skills MTH 069 Algebra Foundations II (TTH 8-9:15 a.m.) Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Mathematics or Math Education. Two years of experience teaching Mathematics. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience in Developmental Math courses. Competency in technologies commonly used in college level instruction.
