Ronco is seeking an experienced, self-motivatedAV/Education Systems Design Engineer in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will collaborate with the Account Managers to provide the technical expertise required during the sales process. You will be responsible for developing the solution, bill of materials, the scope of work, and supporting documentation. Accountabilities Include:Attend in-person or virtual discovery meetings to identify Customers' technology and business requirementsAttend site surveys to obtain design space detailsExplain technical solutions in simplified terms to customers of varying technical abilityCreate one-line conceptual system diagrams using AutoCAD or VisioProvide detailed Scope of Work and Operational Narrative for the proposed solutionReview Requests for Proposal (RFP) and generate Requests for Information (RFI) to address design deficienciesCreate installation drawing package to include floorplan layout, rack elevations, mounting elevations, and wiring diagrams for smaller design-build Audio-Visual projectsRequirements for Success:Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the design of audio-visual or education systems Experience working in AutoCAD, Visio, D-Tools, or similar audio-visual design softwareDemonstrated technical aptitude working with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and other similar productsAVIXA CTS or CTS-D preferredStrong demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of data networking as it relates to audio-visual systemsHigh level of attention to detailOccasional regional travel will be requiredWhy Choose Us: In return for your commitment and valuable contributions to the Company, Ronco offers a friendly working atmosphere, competitive compensation, and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life Insurance, Disability, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, 401k, nine paid Holidays, Sick Pay, and Paid Time Off), on the job training, and opportunities for promotion. Apply today The expected salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year. This role may require you to meet vendor specific credentialing requirements to visit customer sites as a condition of your continued employment. These requirements vary based on the respective healthcare, educational, state, or federal customer and may include vaccinations, additional background checks, additional drug testing, and any other type of criteria as specified by the customer.
