Mizuho is hiring for a VP position on its New York-based ABS team. The hire's primary responsibilities will include providing structuring and analytical support for Mizuho's public ABS and bank-funded securitization transactions, in addition to assisting with client presentations focused on asset analysis, structural recommendations, and transaction optimization. Mizuho's ABS team is responsible for the origination, marketing, and execution of all primary market ABS offerings issued by the Bank's US Clients. The group works in partnership with Mizuho's industry / relationship coverage teams. Role Description: Perform all structuring work related to the ABS team's Left and Active Lead roles, including collateral analysis and deal modeling using Excel, Intex, CAS, and VBA. Primary asset classes include, but are not limited to, auto loan, auto lease, auto floorplan, auto fleet, credit card, consumer loan, student loan, and equipment loans and leasesExplain and present structural output to clients and investorsCreate transaction models, including credit risk retention models, that can be used by issuersAssist ABS investors with structural and modeling questions related to Bank's Left and Active Lead rolesWork with Accountants on the Bank's Left Lead roles to tie out on collateral stratification and cash flow modelsParticipate in client meetings with a focus on structural recommendations and solutionsSupport the Bank-funded Securitization team with structuring and break-even loss analysis on their securitization transactionsRequirements: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer ScienceMinimum of 10 years of ABS Strucuturing experience with a top tier global bank or similarLeading knowledge of CAS, Intex, Excel, VBA, and BloombergAptitude to synthesize large amounts of information/data and create modelsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlinesStrong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively convey ideasCreativity and intellectual curiosityAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentSeries 79 & 63The expected base salary ranges from $175K - $275k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
