This includes performance monitoring and reporting, data analysis, indexing and commissioning support for new launch journals and policy management and implementation.Responsibilities:Publishing Management and support Support publishing team goals by collating, analysing and maintaining key performance indicator (KPI) data and spreadsheets as put data for monthly portfolio review meetings (OA 360 and Business Review Meeting) templatesSupport new launch proposals carrying out data analysis, including trend and competitor data, as required.Prepare documentation to support the indexing of journals within Web of Science, Pubmed.Support publishing policy review process, implementation and communications across Nature Portfolio.Assist with content acquisition (commissioning) working closely with the Head of Publishing, liaising with editors and authors as needed.Support the management of Nature Portfolio consortia projects including liaising with editorial, and payment processes.Support the team with ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed.Collaborate on cross-team projects with editorial, production, institutional sales, marketing and editorial performance teams.Participate and contribute to the non-financial KPI budget processEngagement and representationEngage with other departments across the Nature Portfolio and the wider Journals group.Support and active participation in team activities - i.e. meetings, monthly reportsContribute to the Nature Journals Publishing Strategy team development by initiating and supporting development activities (ie training initiatives, sharing knowledge and insights, improving working practices)Experience, Skills & QualificationsEssentialUniversity degreeExcellent communication skills.Ability to work across teams and deliver to tight timeframes.Ability to work in a fast paced, changing and demanding environment.Strong analytical skills including the use of Excel for data manipulation and analysis.Understanding and experience of using bibliometric resources.Enthusiasm and passion for excellence in science.DesirablePublishing experienceKnowledge of journal publishingScientific backgroundSpringer Nature US provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes the benefit offerings listed below:Medical, Dental and Vision401(k) with company match and contributionHybrid office working policy, Summer Hours, and paid time offFlexible Spending and Commuter programsMultiple Life insurance optionsDisability coverageTuition AssistanceVoluntary benefits: Identity Theft Protection, Pet Insurance, and Legal Assistance InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramFamily friendly benefits and a variety of employee discountsAn array of Employee Social NetworksUS Annualized Base Salary Range: $74,000 - 82,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity.
