NORTHAMPTON - Operations Coordinator PRIMARY FUNCTION(S): Responsible for assisting with Campus Center operations, reservations within the Campus Center, Davis Ballroom, Chapin Lawn, and all student organization events reservations regardless of space on campus. Supports all functions of the Campus Center in conjunction with, and in the absence of, the Associate Director including but not limited to: student staffing, training, setups, work-orders, and operations of the Campus Center. The Office of Student Engagement, within the division of student affairs, strives to create a student experience framed by the core values of the division which are Community, Learning, Wellness and Social Justice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education Experience: Associated degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred, and 1-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Skills: Experience with Student Development Theories, Student Training, Event Management Software (25Live/EMS) preferred. Excellent organizational, budgeting, interpersonal and communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to take initiative and solve problems; proven experience working with diverse constituencies; ability to effectively manage multiple and competing projects and priorities. Proficiency in MS Office and other computer-based programs; excellent customer service skills and orientation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Space Reservation (40%): Serve as the primary scheduler for the Campus Center facilities and the point of contact for all students and/or student organizations reserving space on campus. Works directly with Events Management to discern best space locations outside of the Campus Center facilities. Implement best practices in the scheduling software program (25Live) and student organization software (Engage) that conform with campus and national best practices; as well as initiate new usages of the platform for best efficiencies, student learning, and customer service. Event Planning & Logistics (20%): Ensure event and client success through regular communication, direct meetings, development of logistic plans (timing, event schedules, setup/breakdown times, etc.) as well as following CMP & ACCED-I best practices in event planning. Plans logistical details of events directly with other departments across campus for event success and safety. Ensures client satisfaction through communication, planning and development of programs for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Supervision & Training (15%): In conjunction with the Associate director, recruit, train, schedule, and supervise 30 OSE Student employees. Supports learning outcomes, curriculum development. Assist with training, development, and recognition initiatives. Assumes supervision in absence of the Associate Director. Assessment & Data Collection (15%): Build and maintain assessment and data collection in regards to the Campus Center Spaces; including but not limited to: space usage, foot traffic, client feedback, inventory tracking, equipment and supplies. Utilizes data analytics to project building usage and trends based on historical data. Utilizes data for recommendations to assist Associate Director with FFE replacement, short- and long-term projects. Miscellaneous (10%): Backs up other staff needs as necessary. Perform related duties as required.
