As a Senior Manager you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing financial diligence project work.How You'll Spend Your Time:Managing and coordinating financial due diligence engagementsCoordinating with client management on diligence focus areas and provide real-time communications of issues and deal considerationsConducting discussions regarding business performance and deal issues with senior management of target companiesCreating and tailoring analyses of target financial data to identify valuation, operational and contractual matters for consideration in evaluating quality of earnings, normalized working capital, and items affecting future cash flowsWriting and reviewing reports that set out our findings and recommendations around the key financial and business issues in a transactionWorking closely with other project members from Withum advisory teams in tax, IT, cybersecurity and performance improvementIdentifying integration, separation and post-transaction transition issuesEngaging in relevant marketing and business development activitiesDeveloping and mentoring other team members and contribute to the ongoing development of M&A best practicesThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to:A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years of related M&A work experience; supported by an active CPA certificationSignificant public accounting experienceExcellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insightsThe ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and conceptsExcellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externallyMust be willing and able to travel up to 40% on short noticeExperience with project management of financial due diligence engagementsAbility to analyze financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records, understanding the drivers of the business and conducting interviews with managementAbility to train and mentor staff and contribute to the growth of the team's Transaction Advisory skillsConstantly researching industry trends and technologies, as well as seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements to provide knowledge and insight to clientsHigh competencies with data interrogation techniques using excel and other software packagesThe compensation for this position will vary by location.
