Job description The Nurse Manager is a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing short-term relief to individuals suffering from acute psychiatric episodes. The Nurse Manager is part of the 24-hour programs management team and works in coordination with the A/YCCS Program Directors to oversee the shared responsibilities of: budgeting, staff scheduling, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations and providing clinical supervision to nursing staff. SCHEDULE: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9AM-5PM Starting at $83,200 ($40.00 per hour) + Shift Differentials up to $7.50 hourly (depending on shift) $5000 sign-on bonus Half at 3 months and half at 6 months $1 per hour Language Differential (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish or ASL) Required Education and Experience: An active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. BSN preferred. A minimum of three years? experience in community mental health services preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Comfortable working with the public and/or with the management team and members of the board. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions ? Coordinates and manages the administrative and clinical nursing needs of the A/YCCS programs. ? Provides consultation and clinical supervision to CBHC Nurses in New Bedford and Fall River, as needed. ? Works collaboratively with the clinical teams of the A/YMCI and CBHCs to provide medical screening and support, as needed. ? Supervision of all LPN/RN staff working within the A/YCCS and CBHC programs including performance reviews, scheduling to ensure 24/7 coverage, and staff wellness. ? Works in coordination with A/YCCS Program Directors for the submission of data, program compliance, budgeting and policy and procedures. ? Identifies and implements training needs of all nursing staff. General Nursing Duties to Include: ? Fill physician orders ? Medication administration and reconciliation ? Takes and monitors vital signs ? Coordinates medical care ? Contributes to comprehensive assessment, inclusive of assessment of signs of substance withdrawal and completion of standardized assessment tools (ex, COWS, CIWA, CIWA B) ? Provides psychoeducation to clients and staff related to behavioral healthcare and nursing functions ? Assists with discharge planning and care coordination All 24-hour/Acute Care Staff are considered essential. Essential staff are defined as personnel who are expected to report to work as scheduled, regardless of holidays and/or during any emergency situation and/or agency closing (i.e., inclement weather) to ensure the ongoing operations of the program. Due to the type of work and client needs, this position may need to work beyond a forty-hour work week. Additionally, essential staff may be required to remain on shift or work an additional shift until relief staff are available. For overnight positions, staff are required to stay awake for the entirety of their shift. Managers within the 24-hour programs may need to address staff/client needs outside of regularly scheduled hours and partake in on-call responsibilities when applicable To Apply ? Go to ? Careers ?
