Summary of the purpose of the job, why it exists and its general functions and responsibilities. ï± Purpose: The purpose of the Facilities Associate (FA) is to assist the Building Foreman/Facilities Manager/Facilities Mechanic and Associates who together comprise the Facilities Team (FT) in the management of Christ Church facilities, across all Campuses, in consistently maintaining a beautiful place of worship. The FA will support and perform along with the FT in the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, along with assisting in performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled manual work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Christ Church facilities. __ 2. MAJOR JOB COMPONENTS 2.1 For what results is this job accountable? General Functions & Responsibilities ï± Assist the FT in ensuring that the Church facilities and affiliate locations are well-maintained. ï± Follow project management guidelines to complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. ï± Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required and in a timely manner, while maintaining avenues of communication with FT. ï± Spackling of holes and painting; light janitorial work to include replacing light bulbs/ballasts, vacuuming, garbage removal, disinfecting restrooms, moving of furniture, etc. ï± The FA will assist in performing light landscaping work including trimming bushes, weed control/removal, and leaves. ï± Perform all seasonal functions of maintenance during; Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall. ï± Setup and breakdown of rooms as needed for weekend services and or special events. ï± Assist Working Foreman in maintaining boilers, HVAC, alarm and sprinkler systems, pumps, electrical wires, and other equipment ï± The FA will be available for 2-3 Sundays per month to ensure that the facility remains clean, tidy, and operational for worship services. Sunday hours typically range from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. ï± Ability to singularly lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing approximately 5-75 pounds, and for two people approximately 150 pounds. 2.2 Describe the primary external and internal contacts for this job and the purpose of the contact. ï± Building Foreman and Facilities Team (collaborate on the construction, repairs, and overall building projects) ï± Manager/Director of Facilities (maintenance strategies, implement facility management policies, and ensure the overall efficiency and safety) ï± Director of Operations/Chief Operating Officer (alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency) 2.3 What type of problems do you typically have to solve in your job? Give examples. ï± Proper coordination of activities and functions at facilities. ï± Maintaining a comprehensive task list sorted by priority. ï± Maintaining adherence to all project management guidelines. ï± Prioritizing tasks in season and out of season. ï± Cooperation of congregants to work together to keep a clean & safe environment. 2.4 What organizations or industries would compete for the talent found in this job? ï± Facility Management companies ï± Churches ï± Para-church organizations ï± Non-profit group and organizations 2.5 What is the job scope (i.e., number of direct/indirect reports, expense budget, and revenue responsibility)? ï± No revenue responsibility ï± No direct reports 2.6 What education, skills, and/or experience are required to perform the job? ï± High School Diploma or Equivalency. ï± One (1) to two (2) years' experience in the field of maintenance and construction. ï± Possess a valid New Jersey State Driver's License with no moving violations.
