This job was posted by : For more information, please see: The Senior Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, network engineering, computer network operations, and network security. They will also be responsible for monitoring network performance, analyzing network traffic, and implementing network improvements. 8+ years of experience in network administration, engineering, and security, with strong skills in these areas. Proficient in troubleshooting, computer network operations, and monitoring network performance and analyzing network traffic. Hands-on experience with F5 Networks' products and solutions. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, and extensive experience with Cisco technologies, Nexus switches, and firewalls (Palo Alto or other). Experience handling 3rd party transactions and managing transactional loads, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within network environments, including coordinating with external vendors, troubleshooting external system issues, and optimizing the network for varying loads. Experience working with a transformed product suite, ensuring the integration and optimization of various network components to enhance overall network performance and reliability. Demonstrated experience with network transformation and optimization. Strong understanding of security aspects, access controls, and 802.1X authentication schemes. Understand and analyze the network's architecture, routing design, and the impact of existing and future applications. Review network architecture and routing design, including protocol configurations, local campus and data center switching designs, and security requirements. Propose design changes to improve network availability, redundancy, and performance. Manage firewalls and network transformations, particularly with Meraki hardware. Handle network packet capture and troubleshooting, identify gaps and issues, and address 3rd party transactions and loads. Experience working with both wired and wireless networks. Ability to work independently and remotely. Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule as needed. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
