To find out more about our commitment to sustainability and about Amcor, visitJob Description Title: Maintenance Supervisor - Blow Mold Job Summary: Primary Purpose Directly responsible for the maintenance, repairs, installation and improvement of all blow mold and downstream equipment as well as support systems at the plant. Managing and developing the maintenance team under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager is essential. Works closely with the Plant Maintenance Manager in development of management skills and knowledge of the business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures all employees are properly trained and aware of potential safety and health risks in compliance with Amcor Health and Safety requirements, OSHA guidelines and GMP sanitation procedures. Directs technical input, solutions and options on improving productivity, efficiencies, and documented product quality for all areas of responsibility. Establish priorities for maintenance function/department personnel and works under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager to ensure the effective utilization of all available resources. Directly supervises the blow mold maintenance personnel ensuring a motivated, skilled workforce. Assesses skills and recommends or provides training to ensure personnel are technically competent. Recommend and implement programs to eliminate identified problems, improve labor utilization, upgrade facilities and reduce costs. Supervises the movement of molds from and to the Allentown facility and is the key contact person for molds at the facility. Manages the weekly schedule and the Preventative Maintenance system. Ensures that PM's are fully complete to a satisfactory level. Verifies that all PM documentation is completed and accurate. Assists with machine and PM audits and completes written documentation. Works with the parts room and the Plant Maintenance Manager to ensure that parts are available in stock as needed. Provides input and solutions to improve part deficiencies and failures. Supervises the product changeovers and tracks efficiencies to strive for improvement. Ensures that all signoffs, paperwork and correct parts are verified for each changeover. Verifies that the changeover sheets for Blowmolding and Packaging are accurate and are being followed. Responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and compliance of an effective CMMS system. Ensure that work orders are being entered by task, updated and completed accurately. Monitors key CMMS KPI's and develops corrective measures to improve shortcomings. Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safe y and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and standards not limited to lockout, haz-com, machine guarding and waste disposal. Is an active participant in local safety program and ensures maintenance team are properly trained and perform work in safe manner. Prepares equipment and related reports as required by the Plant Maintenance Manager. Coordinates department labor to include reallocation with other departments as needed for the betterment of the facility as a whole. Perform other related assignments as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct supervisor of all Blow Mold Maintenance Department employees. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Technical Trade School or equivalent Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years experience of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with Blow Molding equipment Must have good working knowledge of high production machinery and facilities together with proven managerial experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports and correspondence. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and customer needs. Ability to work under pressure and interact with others. Ability to meet / exceed deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate quickly and effectively with all members of the shift and management. Must be capable of managing and training all shift personnel on an on-going basis.
