Look for signs upon arrival Please reach out to Recruitment Coordinator, Abby Clark, at 716.327.8067 or with any questions Position Summary: Supervise the safety and well-being of youth in care at all times, fostering physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each individual Department Gateway Longview's Residential Treatment Services is a therapeutic intervention for youth ages 12-18 and supports them in developing the skills needed to successfully live with their families or in the community. Benefits Flexible and remote working options; generous Paid Time Off package; up to 13 paid holidays per year; medical dental and vision coverage; life insurance, 403b retirement with employer matching and health savings account; wellness programs, healthy lifestyle incentives and employee assistance programs Compensation $18.00 per hour for Full-Time, with $.25 increase after 6 months $17.60 per hour for Part-Time or Per Diem Primary Responsibilities Actively engage with youth in therapeutic and daily activities Council youth in matters of personal conduct, hygiene, appearance, safety, social skills, academics, and decision making Proactively prevent or manage a crisis situation in a therapeutic manner Transport youth to medical appointments, family visits, and community activities Attend required staff, supervisory meetings, and treatment team meetings Fulfill other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles High School Diploma or GED Current NYS Driver's License Ability to physically restrain if required Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Theology, Social Work Demonstrated experience working with youth in professional or volunteer capacity We want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
