At Bermex, we are always looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently and love the outdoors to become a part of our team.About the RoleThe Damage Prevention Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager at Bermex. This position plays a key role in managing our line locating crew, which covers the entire state. Ideal candidates are individuals with experience in the gas line locating field. This position is responsible for interfacing with customers, must hold a knowledge of industry standards, interface with management from within and outside of the department, and lead special initiatives in the Damage Prevention Department. This position also requires a high degree of organization, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day.Salary Transparency: For those living in NY, the pay for this role is a salary of $65,000/year.What You'll DoManage line locating team:Travel to different project sites to meet with employees (30% of the time)Field train locators on best practices and perform monthly auditsMonitor ticket management system to ensure quality workExplain and demonstrate work tasks to new workers or assign training tasks to experienced workersInterpret transportation regulations, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures for workersResolve worker problems and collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolutionAssist workers in tasks, as needed, such as damage prevention ticketsAssist with and maintain operations:Identify, investigate, and resolve issues ensuring deadlines are metSchedule and perform repairs or preventive maintenance of vehicles and other equipmentDrive vehicles or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workersPrepare, compile, and submit reports on work activities, operations, productivity, or work-related accidentsRequest personnel, supplies, equipment, parts, or repair services as neededRecommend and address key concerns in the operations processes:Work with manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reductionPartner with customers, managers, utility, or other personnel to ensure customer satisfaction with ongoing communication, cooperative problem management, and regular feedback on goal achievement or obstacles experiencedRecommend and implement personnel actions, such as employee selection, evaluation, rewards, or disciplinary actionsRecommend and implement measures to improve worker motivation, equipment performance, work methods, or customer servicesOther duties as assigned.About YouMust haves:Education: High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of ageExperience: 3 years of gas line locating experience. At least 1 year of management experience. Upon hire, the candidate will need to complete and pass all Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) trainingNice to haves:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business ManagementExperience: 5 or more years of gas line locating experience.
