For 50 years, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) have provided compassion, love, and support to our residents and their families. What We Do: We empower the individuals we support to maximize their abilities, often beyond expectations, using knowledge, technology, medical, educational, and rehabilitative resources. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a central role in providing assistance, safety, and care to help our residents reach their goals. Under general supervision, perform duties as a residential representative of the client treatment team, including completing initial assessments, developing and implementing activities and programs, collecting data, and facilitating client progress. Responsibilities include: Implementing and assisting in individual therapeutic treatment programs Interacting as a part of a treatment team evaluating the progress of the residents Planning activities in line with treatment issues Interpreting and reporting on the residents' behaviors Acting as a client advocate for designated clients Meeting weekly with clients to discuss and support progress Networking with team members and related parties Provide effective supervision to clients at all times, with particular emphasis on safety and therapeutic boundaries Take initiative to develop professional skills through participating in training, professional rounds, courses, and other learning opportunities May be assigned to other Richmond Community Services locations throughout the state of New York. Requires bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field. Must have a valid and clean NYS Driver's license for at least 3 years and maintain Richmond driver authorization. Hourly rate based on experience. RCS123
