Job Summary Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of assigned small, routine projects and coordinates with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assists in timeline development, ensures adherence to timeframes, and adjusts project deliverables to avoid issues. Performs budgetary functions and administrative tasks. Assists with external consultant and vendor selection, negotiation, and management. Essential Functions Business Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) oversee Housing, Dining, Pitt Stores, Hospitality, Parking, Transportation, Mail, Moving and Pitt Surplus Property for the University of Pittsburgh. This role will assist the Director of Projects and Planning on internal planning initiatives in addition to small and large projects as they relate to architecture and interior design of the built environment of the BHAS building portfolio. BHAS Projects and Planning focuses on improving the quality of space students inhabit through thoughtful architecture, interior design and furniture solutions. As a steward of the BHAS building portfolio, the role will assist with project communication with Pitt Facilities Management and Pitt Planning Design & Construction for project development and delivery. The role requires proficiency in Autocad software or similar, a positive attitude, independent thinker with strong self-motivation, design and organizational skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting the BHAS Director of Planning & Projects with all aspects of internal planning, design material selections from Pitt approved design standards, and owner oversight of execution of assigned small, routine maintenance and renovation projects. Assisting in data collection and management such as tracking projects, asset inventory and various internal strategic planning initiatives. Assisting with coordination with BHAS project stakeholders to define and gather project scope, goals, and deliverables. As a BHAS owner projects representative, assisting with project communication with Pitt Facilities Management and Pitt Planning Design & Construction for project development and delivery. Assisting with tracking project progress and maintains accurate records and files. Assisting with providing detailed reports to senior management. Assisting with misc. data tracking documents - proficiency in excel and power point presentations required. Acts as a built environment steward for BHAS building portfolio. Assisting with quality control responsibilities through walking BHAS buildings and locations across campus, interior and exterior spaces and bringing deficiencies to supervisor's attention and/or submitting work orders for corrective action. Design sensibility to pull together components from any of the approved design standards for material and or furniture selection purposes for small projects. Proficiency in Autocad software (or similar) for internal BHAS planning purposes such as understanding space SF areas, test fits for approved design standards furniture and residence. Physical Effort Sitting, Standing, Walking to and from various residence halls on campus. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
