Said quite simply, the culture is amazing Position Overview: The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for providing exemplary service and various back-office processing of deposit operations functions that may include but are not limited to, overdrafts and adjustments, account file maintenance, research requests, IRA support, levies and subpoena research, ACH transactions including returns and adjustments, fraud monitoring and core system maintenance. The Deposit Operations Specialist is also responsible for supporting Treasury Management, Platinum Services and other business lines of the institution. Responsibilities: Deposit Operations Responsibilities: Daily DDA, SAV and CD/IRA account maintenance on new, existing and closed accounts. Daily Q/A review of Branch Maintenance WorkFlows Research and make entries to resolve all posting exceptions from the nightly item processing. Daily and monthly proofs of DDA and GL accounts. Handle all aspects of NSF items, chargebacks and large dollar notifications. Responsible for maintenance of all master rates as they are updated. Foreign check collection and processing. Research of Reclamations and Death Notifications. Research and process FED adjustments. Process Tax Levies and Garnishments from local, state and federal governments. Customer account research including statement and image fulfillment. Implement and maintain deposit operations policy and procedures to comply with federal and state regulations. Other job functions including but not limited to: back-up withholding, B-notices, dormant & escheat processing, etc. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree or college coursework preferred. ACH knowledge and/or certification preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of related deposit operations experience. Working knowledge of regulations and procedures as they pertain to banking and deposit operations. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in deposit accounts. Familiarity with banking systems, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc Desired: Provide the highest level of quality service for internal/external customers; respond to customers' needs, questions and concerns in an accurate, effective and timely manner. Exercise good judgement, maintain a positive attitude, discretion and initiative in servicing customers. Have a 'one team' mentality and adhere to the banks core principals. Prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and maintain a professional composure while working under pressure in a complex environment. Quickly make decisions, applying skills learned while being accountable for accurate daily work. Detail oriented with strong organizational, problem solving, data review and time management skills; with the ability to manage multiple assignments, and reporting requests ensuring that priorities are set, and commitments and deadlines are met, with minimal supervision. Contribute to the success of the department with willingness to cross train and share in the department responsibilities. Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate over the phone, in person and via e-mail. Proficient use and understanding of Jack Henry and MS office practices (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Perform other related deposit operations duties as assigned. bi-lingual a plus.
