JOB TITLE Legally Exempt Manager PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT Child Care Resource Center JOB LOCATION 518 Davidson Street, Watertown NY POSITION GRADE 5 HOURS PER WEEK 35 HOURLY RATE $17.00 per hour - Compensatory with education/experience EMPLOYMENT STATUS Regular/Full-Time/Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Legally Exempt Manager is responsible for the implementing the Legally Exempt enrollment process for providers in Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The Legally Exempt Manager will also cross train and provide support to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate department commitment to equity, diversity, and community engagement Receive, document, and process applications for LE enrollment according to contract procedures Monitor Providers compliance with DOH policies and procedure Schedule, complete, and document home inspections as required by contract and provider need Coordinate with Parent Services staff to share resources with parents looking for child care Handle other duties as may be required or assigned Education: Associate degree in early childhood, human services, business administration or related field required. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: 1-3 years experience in an office or regulated child care setting, and supervisory experience required. Education Alternative: 30 credits in early childhood, human services, or business administration with four years experience; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Family Development Credential (FDC) with 18 additional credits. Skills: Proficient computer skills, ability to maintain accurate and complete records, knowledge of and adherence to NYS child care regulations and CACFP requirements, strong organizational, communication and time management skills. A valid drivers license required. Extensive driving required in Jefferson and Lewis counties.
