Position Overview C&S Companies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Practice Builder to join our team in Albany, NY. As a Transportation Practice Builder, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our transportation practice, developing client relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance our presence in the market. Position Responsibilities Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transportation sector. Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to create winning proposals and presentations. Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for the transportation practice. Provide thought leadership to guide the growth and direction of the practice. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the transportation practice. Mentor and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities. Financial Management: Oversee financial performance and budgets for transportation projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards. Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified. Skills/Education/Experience "‹"‹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York. Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation engineering. Proven track record in business development and client relationship management. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of local transportation policies, regulations, and market dynamics. Experience with project management and financial oversight.
