Semester: Spring 2025 Duties and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL: Utilize CINCINNATI's CAD system to model and draft simple parts to complex assemblies Make and gather relatively simple measurements necessary to generate accurate CAD models Utilize CINCINNATI's information system to generate ECO (Engineering Change Order) documentation as assigned Utilize CINCINNATI's information system, MS Office software, paper files, and/or any other resources necessary to collect and summarize data to assist in tasks and projects assigned Investigate and Root Cause production issues Interface with Engineering for clarification, correction, or requested changes (finish, tolerance, or design) as needed to reliably manufacture and produce parts and products Interface with others outside the department throughout the organization as needed to acquire, clarify, and/or resolve any issues related to projects Liaison with Engineering and other departments providing input, assisting in processing, manufacturing & assembly methods, and optimizing designs Perform time studies of various manufacturing/assembly processes Analyses data gathered, develops and presents findings Recommend improvement to the manufacturing process Assists and supports Engineer assigned to, and the team overall Perform any of the above autonomously or with others as deemed necessary by supervision VALUED BUT NOT ESSENTAL: Generate Laser, Oxy, and Plasma cut paths as necessary to support related production Perform duties and responsibilities of a CNC Programmer as needed and assigned by supervision Perform duties and responsibilities of a Tooling Engineer as needed and assigned by supervision Education and Experience: REQUIRED: Must be a currently enrolled, degree seeking student from an accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering related discipline. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc. REQUIRED: Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge of computer application software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP (training will be provided if needed). Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment. Must be organized and work well with constantly priority changes. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands: The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
