What will I do as a Payroll Associate for The Wesley Community? Assist in standardizing the methods in which payroll will be accomplished. Assist in developing and utilizing computer reports and output. Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports as directed. Assist in preparing and implementation of changes in our payroll / and Time and Attendance system as necessary or directed. Perform functions of computer/data processing, as necessary. Process mail and correspondence pertaining to your position. Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, and faxing as needed or directed by Payroll Coordinator and Director of Human Resources. Answer office phones; refer callers to appropriate person. Provide coverage or assistance for any/all Human Resources staff out of the office or as directed by the Director of Human Resources. Respond to employees, residents, families, visitors, etc. in a friendly and courteous manner. Assist the Payroll Coordinator/Director of Human Resources with audits for all corporations. Facilitate the pickup of Payroll records to the offsite storage facility. Other work assigned by Payroll Coordinator and Director of Human Resources when necessary. Assist in maintaining individual payroll records for each employee in accordance with current regulations governing such records. Assist in maintaining payroll deduction authorization records for each individual employee. Assist in reviewing time records for accuracy. Assist in maintaining appropriate W-4 Tax Records for each employee. Verify employment of workers using work and personnel records as necessary. Communicate with department directors/supervisors concerning payroll matters as directed. Assist with inputting payroll information into ADP for all newly hired personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assist employees in obtaining information concerning their payroll check, deductions, overtime, etc. Prepare and implement changes in our payroll accounting system as necessary or directed. Process employee wage liens, according to state and federal law. Handle 'Please Pays' and Shared Services for all corporations. Initiates pay adjustments as needed for corrections as directed. Open and close direct deposit accounts for employees wishing to participate in direct deposit. Maintain confidentiality of all payrollpersonnel information. Responsible for processing payroll in the absence of Payroll Coordinator Payroll Associate Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalency. 2 years' experience with ADP Payroll Systems or other comparable systems preferred. 2 years' experience with Time and Attendance systems. Smartlinx experience a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in a health care setting preferred.
