Summary: Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holidays Work onsite within our Family Care Medical Office servicing Northwestern Mutual Employees and their dependents. Quality over quantity mindset ABOUT THIS ROLE: Provides support with the daily activities of a health center including both administrative and clinical functions such as but not limited to filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, registration, assisting provider, blood draws and vitals. Essential Job Functions: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures Demonstrates problem solving prevention skills equal to the expected level of responsibility for the job Assists with supply inventory May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment This role has no supervisory responsibilities May require other duties as assigned. Position Title: Phlebotomist - Franklin WI Job Category: Health/Medical other Minimum Education Required: Certifications/Security Clearances/Other (Enter Below) Certificates/Security Clearances/Other: City: Franklin Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education: Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable. CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include 'hands on' evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate. Experience: Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience State: Wisconsin
