General Statement: Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, performs difficult and responsible clerical tasks in keeping financial accounts and records for assigned area of responsibility; work involves performance of account-keeping, auditing or related bookkeeping tasks; the position requires thorough familiarity with departmental operations; assignments may vary in nature and employees are expected to exercise a degree of judgment; performs related work as required. Minimum Requirements: Associates degree in business, general office, or related field of study, to include some accounting course work, the ability to type 45 wpm with no more than five (5) errors in a 5-minute timingANDone (1) year experience directly related to departmental assignment (i.e. payables, payroll, receivables, ability to pay). OR Two (2) years of college with a minimum of twenty (20) hours in accounting, the ability to type 45 wpm with no more than five (5) errors in a 5-minute timingANDone (1) year experience directly related to departmental assignment (i.e. payables, payroll, receivables, ability to pay).
