25.00 per hour 4280 Chestnut Ridge Road, Buffalo, Amherst, NY, USA Hourly Full Time Chestnut Ridge Apartments has a great opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of our 108 unit residential community. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as plumbing, HVAC troubleshooting & installs, electrical etc. A Lead Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to oversee other maintenance personnel, communicate daily with manager, completing service requests and turning units. Responsibilities: Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Appliance repair & troubleshooting Conduct general upkeep procedures, pool maintenance, and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) On call responsibilities as assigned by property manager Skills: 3-5 years in multi-family industry Proven experience as maintenance technician Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drying walling, painting, etc. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength High school diploma or equivalent HVAC experience (preferred) Salary: $25 per hour NOTE: Wages are determined based on the following factors candidate experience, qualifications, skill set, and internal equity Please note in an effort to separate us from falsified job ads and other scammers, we only post legitimate job openings on trusted websites and will never ask for sensitive information such as your SSN or your bank details before the on-boarding process takes place. #INDNY
