What You'll Do: Serta Simmons is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Cullman, AL plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing cell and department activities to ensure the safe and timely production of high-quality products within budget. You will play a crucial role in driving change, solving daily production challenges, and supporting our associates through transitions. How You'll Do It: Lead cell/department activities to ensure safe, high-quality production on time and within budget. Identify and resolve daily production challenges to meet schedules and prevent issues. Act as a liaison between associates and management, supporting associates through changes. Develop and monitor standardized work for direct reports, adhering to Leader Standard Work. Audit or assign audit duties for quality, safety, and scrap. Conduct daily cell meetings and set expectations. Monitor production status hourly, address bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to meet goals. Oversee continuous flow and material delivery systems, working with associates to improve processes. Develop associates to enhance skills and build bench strength. Review production schedules and estimate associate hours for job assignments. Interpret specifications and job orders for associates, delegating duties as needed. Recommend measures to improve production, equipment, product quality, and working conditions. Suggest plans to motivate staff and enforce safety rules. Functional/Technical Competencies Strong written and oral communication and conflict resolution skills. Strong interpersonal skills; able to inspire and motivate associates. Root cause analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills. Possess or able to learn Lean manufacturing techniques. What You'll Bring: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a Lean manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
