Compensation: $24/HR - $31/HR What You'll Be Doing: Examines equipment and tools to diagnose trouble Disassembles mechanical equipment and tools, repairs or replaces worn or broken parts and reassembles Adjusts parts of mechanical devices as needed. Inspects completed repairs Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and tools in accordance with established preventive maintenance program Cleans, lubricates and/or replaces parts Provides basic maintenance to plant structure and performs electrical and light plumbing work Recommends repairs by external vendors, vehicle or other specialized mechanics as needed Documents maintenance work performed and maintains related records and files Requisitions new or replacement parts, tools or equipment for the approval of the Plant Manager Assists with the planning and installation or rearrangement of machinery or equipment Assists with investigations of work-related accidents and injuries or sabotage that involve machines, equipment and/or tools Participates in the development of new equipment and finished goods processes Communicates regularly with the Plant management team and coordinates matters related to maintenance of equipment Provides input for the annual Plant budget and capital expenditures planning Maintains knowledge of current trends in the field and maintains appropriate licensure or certifications Attends appropriate training programs to remain current on machines, equipment and other maintenance related areas Required to organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area and to follow departmental housekeeping requirements and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of the production day What You'll Bring: Minimum 18 years of age. Basic English reading/writing skills. 1-4 years maintenance experience in a production environment Background in welding, fabrication and electrical knowledge required. High school graduate or equivalent. How You'll Do It: Safety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing assembly principles. Work environment includes a clean and safe work area, exposure to high noise decibels, oil and limited chemicals.
