Position Summary: Directs and oversees all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of Hanes Supply Inc. and related entities, at all locations. Reports to the President/CEO and is intimately involved in the strategic and day-to-day matters relating to Company finances, performing risk management, and deciding on investment strategies. Also responsible for all financial accounting and reporting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, cash receipts, payroll transactions, fixed assets, depreciation, monthly and year end accruals and month end closing entries, corporate tax, sales tax compliance and financial statements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term operational and strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance Company financial performance and business opportunities. Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements and profit and loss reports for the Company and its related entities.Responsible for reporting financial information of the Company and related entities to senior management. Ensures that periodic financial statements are presented in accordance with proper accounting standards and practices. Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in the Company's industry and professional expertise. Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as deemed necessary.Provides the President and senior management with all relevant financial data and analysis for budgetary and financial decisions. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the Company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, industry regulations, and company policies. Directs the preparation of all financial reports required by government regulatory agencies and other third parties. Coordinates corporate management quarterly financial review of the Company and related entities. with branch manager/leadership teams. Manages corporate banking relationship which includes loan covenant compliance, any debt restructuring. Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, oversight, and ensuring proper insurance coverage. Coordinates insurance applications and claims prevention and review. Manages short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds for operations and desired strategic activities.Manages financial accounting system including appropriate period end routines and coordination of system updates.Works closely with the Company's independent accountants to accomplish annual financial and tax reporting compliance requirements and special projects that may arise throughout the year.Oversees Workers Compensation and other insurance related risk management programs and audits.Works in conjunction with Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Company's administrative volved in the Company's hiring, evaluating, and training initiatives.Provides due diligence related to any potential acquisitions, divestitures and real estate decisions.Manages the Company's sale tax function and compliance with all Federal and state tax regulations in over 40 states.Manages AR collection function, and annual physical inventories for all branches.Evaluate and implement cost-saving initiatives identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and profit enhancement. Coordinates cost management in larger spend areas including, but not limited to, credit card processing, supplier pay program, freight with UPS and FedEx.Assists Human Resources in evaluating additions/modifications related to associate health insurance and benefit offerings.Oversees the Company's transportation compliance and preventative maintenance program along with acquisition and disposition of Company owned volved in succession planning and overall strategic plan.Other responsibilities as deemed necessary as directed by the Company's President/CEO.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.Working knowledge of current regulations impacting the finance and accounting functions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong financial and analytical ability, budget management, forecast, and organizational skills.Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial results and performance.Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and accounting software.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail along with strong judgment, decision making, ability to problem solve, strategize, and critical thinking skills. Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities, and demonstrated ability to manage microcomputer operations and applications. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to get along and lead with diverse personalities.Level of Education and Experience: B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance is required, Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is preferred C.P.A. designation preferred. Proven experience as a top level financial officer; Ten to twelve years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.Physical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
