Overview The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is looking for an Intern to join the Procurement Division. In this role, you will support lab-wide procurement activities which include products, research, services, maintenance, and construction. The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a world-class fusion energy research laboratory managed by Princeton University for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science. PPPL is dedicated to developing the scientific and technological knowledge base for fusion energy. The Laboratory advances the fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research to develop the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as an energy source for the world. Come join us Responsibilities Core Duties Assist with procurement transactions such as purchase orders, subcontract modifications, change orders, preparing Request for Quotes (RFQ), Request for Proposals (RFP), procurement compliance reviews and other procurement transactions. Support implementation of the Procurement sourcing tool and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Junior, Senior or Graduate Student majoring or minoring in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Interpersonal Skills, Excellent verbal and written communications; results-oriented, self-motivated, independent decision-making and problem-solving and outstanding prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Physical Requirements If any work is conducted onsite, this position requires occasional reaching, stooping and lifting of office files, reports and records, typically weighing 5 pounds or less.
