Summary: The function of the Training Specialist will be to design, train, and evaluate trainings for CDS Life Transitions and its companies. The Training Specialist will be expected to lead training classes for all companies. The Training Specialist will also assist with day-to-day operations of the department by completing duties and tasks as related to the development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of workforce trainings. Essential Job Functions: Assists with the implementation, facilitation, and development of learning and development opportunities for CDS Life Transitions, including, but not limited to, New Employee Orientation, CPR, SCIP-R, leadership development and compliance with Federal, NYS, DOH, and OPWDD required trainings. Responsible for the development of computer-based and instructor-led training opportunities - working with Subjects Matter Experts to develop, build, and evaluate effective training courses and programs. Responsible for assisting with administrative tasks associated with the Learning and Development Department-filing, record-keeping, data entry, filing, invoice/PO creation, inventory management Assist in the creation, maintenance, and distribution of Learning and Development Department reference materials such as calendars, schedules, fliers, etc. Collaborates with Agency departments to ensure success of learning and development opportunities-Marketing, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, etc. Responsible for managing the accuracy of the Learning Management System (LMS) reporting functions and team structures Responsible for LMS and HRIS data entry as related to the Learning and Development Department's compliance and record keeping standards Provides customer service to the Agency's workforce regarding the LMS and scheduled trainings. Train/teach classes as required Performs any other related duties as required by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of NYS DOH and NYS OPWDD Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Intermediate in use of Microsoft applications Must be detailed-oriented Must have strong time-management skills Must be able to adopt to the company's vision, mission and values and related policies and procedures. Ability to work independently and motivate others Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required 2 years' relevant experience working in OPWDD or Health Home Services fields Experience with Articulate 360, preferred 1-2 years' experience in Workforce Development, Adult Education, or Human Resources preferred Previous experience with public speaking Experience working with large data sets Previous experience with an LMS or similar data management tool preferred The listed salary range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
