Job Title: Metro Micro CDL DriverOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Metro Micro CDL Driver. Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulationAssists in loading and unloading truck manually, if needed.Follow verbal and written instructionsVarying types of work including: digging, flagging, concrete workAbility to operate a loader Basic troubleshootingRequired Skills/Abilities:Reliable transportation to and from workStrong work ethicPhysical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime, overnights and weekend hours may be necessaryWorking knowledge of general hand tools and power toolsCDL A or B requiredExperience with a live bottom trailers a plusAble to operate trucks in excess of 80,000lbs safelyAbility to do minor maintenance and grease trucksPassing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conductedConsent to a DMV license evaluationMust have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsObserve and comply with necessary PPE requirementsMust be able to work in a noisy area with many odors presentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:Ability to read and understand SDS Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED - a two year technical degree is preferredBasic math skillsAdditional Duties:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
