Boswell Engineering is seeking Highway Inspectors with all NICET Levels II and III, hold NJSAT and ACI Certifications for positions expected to begin immediately for multiple projects located in New Jersey. Must have experience working with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority on both roadways. The position can be based at either our South Hackensack, NJ or Chester, NJ office. Responsibilities: Perform on-site inspection of various heavy highway, bridge rehabilitation/replacement, paving projects, and drainage projects Daily inspection on multiple, complex, large, and/or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor's operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents Complete daily inspection reports Prepare as-built drawings and assemble data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project Assist Resident Engineer and Office Engineer in keeping track of pay items, MPT compliance, site safety, contract specific requirements, and reporting any deviations Assure general compliance with NJ Turnpike Authority standards and specifications Combination of both office and field duties Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred Two (2) to five (5) years of experience as a Construction Inspector required Valid NICET Certification II or higher or equivalent as required by the client ACI Field Technician Level 1 a plus Traffic Control Certification is preferred NJSAT - Asphalt Paving Construction Technologist Certification is required Ability to read and understand plans/specifications and properly document collected data Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs NJ Turnpike Authority experience required Night and/or weekend work may be required and must be reliable and flexible Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
