We are currently looking for a dedicated experienced individual to join our team as Full Time Faculty - Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include providing high-quality instruction to students enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program, ensuring they gain the skills, knowledge, and professionalism necessary for success in the healthcare field. This position offers the opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of massage therapists.AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDeliver engaging, hands-on instruction in various subjects related to medical assisting (e.g., anatomy, medical terminology, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks).Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments in accordance with institutional and accreditation standards.Mentor and advise students, offering academic and career guidance.Stay current with developments in the medical assistant field to provide up-to-date knowledge and practices.Participate in faculty meetings, program review, curriculum development, yearly professional portfolio, and continuous improvement initiatives.Contribute to the growth and promotion of the Medical Assistant Program through collaboration with staff, administrators, and community partners.Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and contribute to the accreditation process as required.Engage in professional development activities and encourage students to do the same.REQUIREMENTSMinimum of an associate's degree in medical assisting or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's preferred).Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or an equivalent credential.Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in the medical assistant field.Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level or in a vocational/technical setting is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of medical assistant practices, including clinical and administrative competencies.Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse mitment to student success and the institution's mission.ABOUT AGM UNIVERSITYAna G.
