Description/Job Summary The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting and treasury functions including, but not limited to, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, preparation and recording of journal entries, daily cash reporting, electronic payments, preparation of audit support and schedules, trust accounting, and ad-hoc assignments. Responsibilities/Duties Accounting Functions: Prepare daily cash position reconciliation and bank reporting Banking- knowledge of ACH/WIRE processing, automation and ability to work comfortable in daily banking environment Prepare monthly US and non-US bank reconciliations Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations Review and analyze non US bank reconciliations and report discrepancies to management Prepare and record journal entries Understand and record multicurrency journal entries Imputed Income and Fringe benefits - analyse firm accounts, prepare schedules to send to payroll Perform escrow accounting functions by efficiently and accurately enter escrow information from the bank into company ledger Reporting - generate and analyse general ledger and trial balance reports Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules to enter into SAGE software Prepare and assist in support for company's interim and annual audits Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries Complete ad hoc projects, as assigned, for presentation to senior management Required Skills Strong understanding of accounting concepts, GAAP and financial analysis Detail, deadline and goal-oriented Ability to drive results in a fast-paced/deadline-oriented environment Strong analytical and Excel skills Problem-solving and organizational skills Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrate ability to lead and train a team Preferred Skills Knowledge of 3E financial system preferred Required Experience 5 Years of relevant work experience required Preferred Experience Experience in law firm preferred Required Education Bachelor's degree Accounting required Details Salary Information The estimated base salary range for this position is $115-135k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning that it is not overtime pay eligible.
