We continentally strive to foster teamwork, engagement and enhance our employee's skills and competence by providing appropriate pensation Range:$55,500 To $69,600Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.Job PurposeProvide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services, in the assigned area against profitable margins and in line with the business plan, in order to contribute to the realization of service- related sales and service targets.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000Operates material handling equipment per OSHA requirementsIs directly responsible for company assets such as service vehicles, inventory, tools, laptops, and test equipmentMaintains truck log, if necessary, according to provincial and or federal requirementsMaintains good communication with Field SupervisorCompletes and submits reports as requiredCoordination of shipping and receiving, and in the field, material audits to identify shortagesSupport the installation of DC Power plants, BDFB's, inverters, UPS, and DC Battery systemsSupport Commissioning of DC power plants, inverters, and battery conductance readings, testing of system and equipment alarmsPerform/support rectifier and inverter module swaps, and updating system inventoriesPerform/support Preventative Maintenance routines, which would include completing reports and data analysis, which would identify key areas where the clients could improve their systems or are at risk based on the data collectedInstall data cabinets, cable tray infrastructure, including load bearing axillary systems, Fiber Optic Raceways, Grounding and alarm connections Provide support for maintaining calibration of toolsInteracts with internal and external stakeholdersTravel when required to perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenanceContribute to company revenue and margin targets by supporting the execution of quality work within project timelines and budgetQualificationsMinimum Qualifications3-5 years of previous experience in field support within DC Power and or Telecom industryBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the InternetBasic mechanical aptitudePrevious experience working with hand and power toolsAble to read with comprehension and write documents (such as customer correspondences, memos, and reports) in EnglishAble to perform basic math such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAble to solve simple equationsExperience should be substantively in the Electrical related fieldHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience; and at least five years field service experiencePreferred QualificationsCertificate/Diploma in Mechanical/Electronic/ Electrical or related field5-7years DC power installation experienceAn advance understanding of DC PowerThe use of test equipment and reading schematicsHands-on job experienceExperience should be substantively in the Electrical related field where applicableGeneral Job RequirementsMust be able and willing to do overnight travelMust be able and willing to operate a forklift.This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.Must be able to differentiate colors.Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.Must be able to stand for long periods of timeEmployees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.Must be able and willing to work overtime.Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.Risk of electrical shock.This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment.
